Steelhead Bar and Grille in SpokaneLocated in the heart of Spokane’s dining district, the Steelhead Bar and Grille, located at 218 N. Howard St., is a locally owned joint that offers a wonderful place to experience a unique combination of fine dining and nightlife. Across the street from Macy’s and only half a block from Riverfront Park, the Steelhead’s ideal location presents a plethora of post dinner or lunch opportunities, as well as plenty of parking.

If you’re looking for atmosphere, the Steelhead is oozing with atmosphere thanks in part to the excellent lighting and trendy décor. Housed in a historic brick building, the Steelhead has done a fantastic job of combining the industrial feel of
Spokane with modern accents. A brushed steel bar, big screen TV’s, hardwood floors, hammered copper fireplace, and brick walls that feature crushed marble work in unison to create a unique feel. You’ll love the steel spiral staircase that leads up to a wine storage patio! The result is an atmosphere that is warm, inviting and comfortable. Tables for two or for the family are available, as well as leather couches for the casual night out. If the weather is nice, go for a seat in the alley. I know it doesn’t sound appealing, but believe me it’s a very cool place to dine. The atmosphere, outdoor seating and spaciousness of the Steelhead make it an ideal location for a business lunch, family dinner or a nice night out. If you’re feeling artsy, the Steelhead regularly displays a variety of art as well as hosting local musicians for the pleasure of patrons.

Bar and Grill means food and beverages are available, and the Steelhead does not disappoint. Featuring American cuisine with a northwest twist, the Steelhead’s menu is extensive and delicious. From soups and salads, to specialty sandwiches and steak, the menu offers something for everyone. I would recommend the kabobs. At only $9, you get your choice of marinated steak, shrimp or chicken served with sautéed vegetables and rice pilaf. Very good! I would also recommend the halibut parmesan ($14). An excellent cut of halibut breaded with parmesan cheese makes for a delicious meal. Add in vegetables and rice and your meal is complete. Looking for something for the kids? Check out the excellent kids menu with selections including chicken strips and the ever popular macaroni. Steelhead’s full bar is a thing of beauty. With a carefully selected wine and beer list, in addition to a selection of top shelf liquors, you’ll be hard pressed NOT to find something to please your palette. Great food and drink, good service and a fantastic atmosphere had me coming back for more, and I’m sure you will too.
