Brew Brothers in SpokaneNow that I’m working the full-time grind, I’ve found that I have succumbed to the business professionals drink of choice . . . coffee. Being that I work downtown there is obviously plenty of coffee houses to choose from. But one of my favorites remains Brews Brothers Espresso Lounge at 734 W Sprague Ave. Situated two blocks up from River Park Square, right next to the STA bus plaza and kitty corner from the Davenport Hotel, Brews Brothers entertains a unique mix of customers. Opportunities for everyone are only blocks away including fantastic shopping, movies, dining and Riverfront Park. Pair the possibilities with the “sunny interior”, delicious pastries and excellent coffee, and you have yourself a winner. Whether I’m in for a morning coffee or just looking for a place to pass my lunch hour, Brews Brothers continues to hit the spot.A warm and inviting atmosphere welcomes all who enter Brews Brothers.

Mellow yellow walls combine with comfy overstuffed armchairs and couches, hand drawn chalkboard menus, secluded corner tables and nice eclectic décor to create a “Central Perk” kind of feel. Rotating art displays grace the walls showing off local artist’s best wares. The open and spacious layout with quiet alcoves makes it a perfect location for your casual business meeting, special cup of coffee or mid-day study session. Just recently, I caught up with an old friend from high school by grabbing some coffee and enjoying the comfortable couch. Try grabbing a book or magazine, putting your feet up and enjoying the soothing music.

Hook up your laptop and tap into the Spokane HotZone, the largest Wi-Fi HotZone in United States covering over 100 square downtown blocks. Though parking can sometimes be a pain, there are usually sufficient meters in the vicinity.Limiting Brews Brothers description to simply a coffee house would not do it justice. Besides featuring excellent, locally roasted Craven’s Coffee, Brews Brothers also offers a variety of specialty coffee drinks, smoothies and tea. For a great fall drink that will add a little spice to the dreary weather try the pumpkin latte. If tea is more your style you’ll definitely want to sample the Chai Tea. You won’t regret it. In addition, Brews Brothers features a superb selection of locally baked pastries. From bagels and muffins, to scones and cookies there are plenty of delectable treats for everyone. Let me take this time to recommend the raspberry scone . . . simply delicious! Featuring great prices, Brews Brothers also offers discounts to students and civil service workers.
