Whether you are looking for a night out with the girls, a unique birthday party, host a bridal shower, want your child’s hand or foot prints memorialized or just want something fun to do with your kids, Polka Dot Pottery has it all. I have been painting pottery at Polka Dot Pottery for about 3 years now.
Usually I go for Salsa Night which is a girls night out with a Mexican theme. One or two nights a month you and your girlfriends can get together and paint pottery, have a margarita and eat M&Ms and 7-layer dip all night long. The cost is $8 plus your pottery piece.

Now that I have a 14 month old son, I am going to be getting his hand prints done for Christmas ornaments for gifts for the grandparents. Polka Dot does not charge a paint and glaze fee like other shops in town. Their pieces are very reasonable beginning at just a few dollars. There is a pottery piece within everyone’s budge at Polka Dot.

When you walk in to Polka Dot Pottery you are always welcomed by a friendly staff member who answers any questions you have. You can then browse through the hundreds of blank pottery pieces until you find the piece you want to paint. They have anything and everything you could ever want to paint. They have plates, coffee cups, bowls, dog and cat dishes, piggy banks, bathroom accessories, picture frames, items for kid rooms and pieces just for kids. They also have finished samples throughout the store to help inspire the creative side of you. Once you paint your piece they glaze it at the studio and you pick it up a week later.

If you want to do something with your kids you can go in at any time and they have shelves full of inexpensive items for the kids to paint. They also have pizza and paint night with mom. Those occur once a month and are an additional $3 over and above your pottery piece. This covers pizza, pop or water and M&Ms.
Polka Dot Pottery has two locations, their first location is at 2714 W. Northwest Blvd. and their new location is at 118 S. Pines in the Spokane Valley. Their hours at 10-8 Wed-Friday, Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 12-4.Their website is www.polkadotpottery.com.

This place is fun and a great way to develop lasting hobbies and relationship with family as well as friends. The have made this reasonably priced as well… The girls who work there are always happy to help and give envouraging compliments..
Thanks so much for the comment! Creative outlets like Polka Dot Pottery are just one reason communities like ours are so special. It’s great to know others enjoy what they have to offer and keep them doing what it is they do best!
The girls in our neighborhood have been going to Polka Dot Pottery for a few yrs. now. We injoy the Margarita and Salsa nights.
We just had party there where we brought in our own food and drinks and got to paint. That was also a lot of fun!
I really like that they have stamps, sponges and even stencils that you
can use. The girls that work there can even shrink the stencils down to fit your piece of pottery.
Terri, I must admit, the more I hear (read) about it the more I’m intrigued! While I can’t claim much of an affinity for hands-on art, I can appreciate the talent it takes and the joy it must bring. Maybe I should schedule a trip to Spokane and find out for myself
Thank you for the feedback!
