I really enjoy a good latte. However, now that I have a toddler, finding a place to meet friends that is “kid” friendly is difficult. Last week though I finally found my new favorite coffee place. It is the Little Garden Cafe located at 2901 West Northwest Blvd. in the Audubon Park neighborhood on the northside of Spokane.

The Little Garden Cafe, not only has great coffee, by Doma, they have a play area for your kids. I am not talking about having 3 or 4 toys; they have a complete playroom for kids. It is great. They have a play kitchen, books, table toys, blocks and more. There is one table located in the play area and couches located right next to it.

When you walk into the Little Garden Care you are greeted by a friendly barista and surrounded by the smells of coffee and pastries. In addition to coffee and pastries, which are from Sweetwater Bakery, they serve loose leaf tea, breakfast items such as yogurt parfaits, quiches, breakfast sandwiches and a light soup and sandwich lunch menu. I have eaten breakfast there twice, once had the yogurt parfait, which was a great deal at $1.99 and the second time had a scrumptious pecan cinnamon roll. I look forward to trying lunch on my next visit.

Even if you do not have kids, this is a great coffee house. The atmosphere is very cozy with warm color walls and comfortable couches and tables to meet friends, co-workers or hold a business meeting. Besides the play area, there is a main room which is rather large and behind that there is a small intimate room if you want something quieter.

The Little Garden Café is open Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will be closed from December 22nd through December 26^th for Christmas. Their phone number is 509-328-5500.
