Spokane Boat ShowDaydreaming about getting out on the water this summer? For ten days (February 1-10, 2008) you can explore your dreams by visiting the Spokane Boa Show at the Spokane Interstate Fairgrounds. With over fifty vendors selling everything from fishing boats, ski boats, sailboats, jet skis, docks, and accessories you can get your planning done for summer.

When you walk into the main building of the Fairgrounds you are greeted by isles of vendors selling everything you would need to spruce up your boat or add to your new boat. After that there are over 10,000 square feet of boats to look at. You begin your journey through the Boat Show by visiting Skipper Bill’s, Valley Marine, Carsten’s Marine, Trudau’s Marine and Harrison Dock in Bay 1.

In Bays 2 and 3 you can visit Olympic Boat Center, Alpine Haus Marina, the Elephant Boys, Pacific Harbor Distributors, Yacht Club Sales & Services, Mark’s Marine and Travelland RV & Marine. Directly outside of Bay 2 is a fly fishing demonstration. The AG Complex has even more vendors: Specialty Recreation & Marine, The Boat Shop, Affordable Boat Brokers, Knight Construction Boat Docks, Tobler Marin, Action Marine and Northwest Powerboats.

If you already have a boat, stop by the U.S. Coast Guard or US Power Squadron booths to make sure you and your boat are complying with all applicable laws. The US Power Squadron is also sponsoring an 8-hour Boating Safety Course throughout the show. Numerous seminars are available on topics ranging from weather forecasting, using your GPS, sailing, how to get your Captains License and more. The Spokane Boat Show is in its 53rd year and is a great event for everyone. The cost to attend is $7 for adults and $4 for youth (18 years-12 years). Before you pack up the family and head out, be sure to check the website for admission specials.

  3. Who doesn’t want a boat! This is another one of those things that my wife and I go to to get a little motivation to work a little harder and manage our budgets better!
