Winter time fun on Mt. Spokane

One of the things families can do is to go sledding and build snowmen in the winter time. And one place to do it is up on Mt. Spokane. Follow highway 2 until you come to Yokes and turn on to highway 206 Mt Spokane Park Drive and drive about 14 miles up to the mountain for some winter time fun in the snow. This past winter was certainly snowy enough to get in a lot of winter sledding, skiing, snow man building and more.
Our family is blessed enough to actually live on the mountain and so sledding is something we do frequently in the winter and invite others to come play with us. Mt Spokane Ski slopes do offer a sledding area for those with tubes and sleds.
One of the things we have done is to build a nice crackling bonfire to stand around while waiting your turn for the tube or sleds and toast marshmallows and make smores, drink hot chocolate and roast hotdogs over the coals. When not doing that or sledding you might try your hand at making a snowman.
This winter is past but another one is only about 5 months away so make your plans now for some fun next winter with the family.
