I think I have found my new favorite park. Our family really enjoys exploring the parks of Spokane. My son loves the outdoors and love slides, swings and dirt! As you will probably read during the next few months, we visit lots of parks. My other mommy friends and I like exploring the different parks and choose parks close to somebody’s home each time. That way the same people are not doing all the driving all the time.

Today’s park was Webster Park, 3721 W. Lacrosse. It is located at Northwest Blvd. and I street. The easist way to find Webster Park is to take Northwest Blvd. East until you reach I street. You will see the park on the north side. The Park is approximately 1 mile west of Down River Grill.

It’s a smaller park as it is just over 2 acres. However, it does have a softball field and great little one play toys. There is also lots of room to run, fly kites, throw the Frisbee or play with the dog (please pick up your dog droppings though!). There are also restrooms, however they are only open from Memorial Day to mid-September.

The toy area at Webster Park was just perfect for my toddler. The play areas are newer, in great condition. The stairs are close together and to the ground. The slides are the perfect size that toddlers can navigate them themselves without parents having to help. He loved that he could get up to them himself, slide down without mom having to catch him and run and start all over again. He must have slid down the slide about a dozen times.

There are also picnic tables available for snacks or lunch. There is no shelter though like some of the parks.

After Simon gets a few years old, I am not sure he will enjoy this park anymore, but for the coming summer, it will be the perfect park for him. Anyone with toddlers should put Webster Park on their list of things to do this summer.
