Shriner’s Circus-Spokane Arena

Lions and tigers and bears oh my. Well not exactly. But they did have elephants, bears, horses and ponies. Along with motorcycles, acrobats and clowns. I am talking about the Shriner’s Circus that has been in town at the Spokane Veteran’s Memorial Arena.

Girls Night Out at Twig’s Bistro & Martini Bar-Spokane

How about you just pick a place.” That is the conversation that took place with my girl friends when we were trying to decide where to eat downtown at our girl’s night out. We eventually decided on Twig’s Bistro & Martine Bar in River Park Square.

Whether you are a kid or just a kid at heart, Mission Park located at 1208 E. Mission Avenue across the street from Avista, has something for everything. They have tennis courts, softball fields, toys, a swimming pool and lawn bowling. Mission Park is also connected to the Centennial Trial.

Think HGTV in person and locally focused. This year’s show is the first that we’ve made it to and I’m glad we went.

Wonderland Family Fun Center - Laser Tag, Go Karts, Battings Cages and more in Spokane

When my 13 year old nephew came to visit last weekend, I wanted to find something fun that we could take him to do. We ended up going to Wonderland Family Fun Center and we had a lot of fun. Wonderland is defiantly a place for kids- and adults- to go and have a blast.

Dishman Hills Natural Area- Hiking and Picnicking in Spokane Valley

This past weekend I decided to check out the Dishman Hills Natural Area that I’ve wanted to explore for a while. I’ve passed by the Dishman Hills sign on Appleway Ave many times and have always been curious as to what was beyond the sign. I’m really glad that I finally got the chance to explore this wonderful area.

Adult Softball Fun in Spokane - Softball League

Batter up! Strike, ball, out! It is softball time again. We are just wrapping up the Spring Fling Co-Ed Softball Tournament sponsored by the Spokane County Parks & Recreation Department. The weather was cold but at least it did not snow. Every year we play in the Spring Fling to fine tune the team for softball season that begins in early May.

Audubon Park for sports lovers, outdoor lovers and kids of all ages-Spokane

Audubon Park located at Audubon Park and Northwest Blvd. (3405 N. Milton) It is one of Spokane’s larger parks boasting 26 ½ acres of fun. Audubon Park was busy today with people walking their dogs, kids playing, and adults holding their cups of coffee trying to stay warm. I began our park experience by visiting the Little Garden Café to grab a coffee than across the street we went to play at the park.

Family Night Out at Didier’s Yogurt & More-Spokane

One Friday a month we meet my parents for dinner. Now that our son is at the stage where he likes the food quick and only likes to sit for a short period of time. Didier’s Yogurt & More located at 10410 N. Division Street, half a block north of Hawthorne and Division, is the perfect place for a family dinner out.

Indian Trail Park - Spokane - Running, Toys, Biking and more family fun.

Today was our first time at Indian Trail Park, 7007 N. Flemming Street. Indian Trail Park is adjacent to Indian Trail Elementary and sits on 3.5 acres. Indian Trail Park has activities for kids of all ages. Simon had great fun today playing on the toys, swinging and running.
