Today was our first time at Indian Trail Park, 7007 N. Flemming Street. Indian Trail Park is adjacent to Indian Trail Elementary and sits on 3.5 acres. Indian Trail Park has activities for kids of all ages. Simon had great fun today playing on the toys, swinging and running.
There are toy structures and a set of swings. There is also a bike area for the older kids to ride their bikes along with plenty of running for soccer, frisbie, or the like. During the summer months there will be picnic tables available for family picnics.
The two toy structures are great for kids of all ages. The younger kids can enjoy the smaller play structure, which has ramps instead of stairs. Which I like so I don’t have to worry about Simon falling on the stairs. He can crawl up stairs great but he tries to keep up with the big kids and walk up them and we usually end up crying.
The second toy structure is awesome for older kids. There are slides, new age monkey bars and other fun apparatuses to play on. The park was full of kids today playing on both play structures and enjoying the swings. I am sure when school is out the bike paths are full too.
As with most City/County Parks, the restrooms are open June through September.
