Spokane Falls Skyride Gondola- Fun Experience in Downtown Spokane

The Spokane Falls are always a beautiful sight to see and this past weekend we had friends come over from out of town who wanted to see them, especially since the river was over flood stage at the time. We walked across a few bridges to get pictures and then ultimately decided to take a ride on the Spokane Falls Gondola to get a better view. The ride definitely delivered on that better view.

Bowl & Pitcher-Riverside State Park, Memorial Day fun in Spokane

We had hoped for better weather this weekend as last weekend was gorgeous, but in true Pacific Northwest fashion Memorial Day Weekend is rainy. We spent Friday night at Riverfront Park admiring the Spokane River and taking in an IMAX movie. This led us to wonder what the Bowl & Pitcher and Riverside State Park looked like. So, we dug out the backpack and headed out Saturday afternoon.

Family Night Out at the Shogun Restaurant, Spokane

My husband’s entire family was in town this past weekend to celebrate birthdays, Mother’s Day and retirement. Trying to find a place to take everyone to dinner where there is something for everyone’s pallet and is appropriate for a toddler is a difficult task. However, we found the perfect place, the Shogun Restaurant located downtown at 821 E. 3rd.

The Spokane Shock - Arena Football

This weekend I experienced my first arena football game. I am not an avid fan of football, but I do enjoy watching sports live. I also decided that since my boyfriend and his son love football so much that I should learn a little bit about it. Once we decided on the day we wanted to go, I got the tickets for us to go to the Spokane Shock game.

Laser Quest-Laser Tag, Karaoke and Arcade Games in Downtown Spokane

Our church’s youth group recently had an activity night at Laser Quest in downtown Spokane. I’m not a huge fan of laser tag myself, but I went with the group to help out while my husband played a couple games with the kids.

Bloomsday from the Spectator Persepective - Spokane

Saturday night my husband said that he would like to head downtown and watch Bloomsday near the finish and then venture downtown to take in all the happenings. Bloomsday starts and ends in downtown Spokane is the nation’s largest road race and is held the first Sunday in May.

Boulder Beach on the Centennial Trail- Walking, Biking, Swimming and Picnicking in Spokane

A few weeks ago, I found myself driving along Upriver Drive trying to head towards Argonne, and I noticed that there was a good stretch of a nice walking trail between the road and the Spokane River. I discovered via the internet that this was actually a portion of the central segment of the Centennial Trail. I recently decided to take advantage of one of the nice spring days we had and go check out the trail with my husband and our dog.
