Laser Quest-Laser Tag, Karaoke and Arcade Games in Downtown Spokane

Our church’s youth group recently had an activity night at Laser Quest in downtown Spokane. I’m not a huge fan of laser tag myself, but I went with the group to help out while my husband played a couple games with the kids.
With a name like Laser Quest, I figured laser tag would be all they offered, but I was really surprised when l got there. When we first walked in the door, one of the friendly employees tried to encourage someone to sing karaoke. They have a machine set up and more than 800 songs available to sing at no charge. There are 2 microphones available for duet singing.
Beyond the Karaoke machine are a couple air hockey tables and a few arcade games. You can also borrow a basketball from the main desk to play basketball with the hoop they have mounted on the wall. Off to the side there is a small room with a few tables that is available for parties.
Playing a game of laser tag will cost you $7.50 or $5.00 if you are a member. Membership is $25 with a $15 yearly renewal fee, which I imagine would pay itself off if you (or your kids) play a lot of laser tag. Each game lasts for 20 minutes so if you are taking your kids and don’t want to play yourself, you can either drop them off and head to the Starbucks 2 blocks away or sit and wait inside for their game to finish. There are benches available for those who are waiting.
There are lockers available for a small fee to hold your valuables while you are playing. There are also restrooms on sight. They do sell 2 liters of soda and have a soda vending machine, but Laser Quest does not sell any sort of food so you may want to bring a snack or have a plan for food afterwards. A hint of advice if you are going to play laser tag- youâll want to wear a short sleeve shirt or tank top and lightweight clothing as it gets really hot in there while you are playing. In addition, wearing dark colors is a good idea since the laser tag area is full of black lights and if you are glowing, you are a big target.
As far as parking goes, there is a parking lot to the east of the building that charges, but there also a few places to park along the curb for free if available. Overall, an evening at Laser Quest was a fun choice for an activity with teenagers.
