Loma Vista Park Loma Vista Park, located at 5804 N. Alberta, is nesstled in the middle of a quite north Spokane neighborhood. However, the park boasts a little over 5.5 acres of fun. There are soccer fields, toys, swings and picnic areas.

We decided to check out Loma Vista on Friday afternoon when all relatives were in town for Mother’s Day. It was a short walk from Grandpa and Grandma’s house. Once we got to the Park the toys were the first thing to check out. Our son decided that at 20 months he is too old for the toddler toys and had to try out the big kid slide. He loved the big slide but his shoes kept getting stuck so the next time down he stopped and took off his shoes and threw them down the slide first and he followed right behind. That improved his speed to his satisfaction.

After getting tired of the slide he ran over the swing and demanded up. It was nice to have the aunts and uncles there to push him in the swing. Mom and dad can only push for so long! After he tired of the swings we let him run and play on the soccer fields as they were not in use.

I can only assume that on the weekends the park is full of kids, families and activities. So, next time you are on the northside and looking for a great place to take the kids, swing into Loma Vista Park.
