Clark ParkSummer finally decided to show up today. We were so excited to see sun today that I loaded the stroller with toddler, snacks and a ball and we walked down to Clark Park located at the northwest corner of Division and Garland. The exact address is 3922 N. Normandie.

Clark Park is a great park for walking, softball, picnicking or just playing. There are 2 softball diamonds, a great paved walking path, half a dozen or so picnic tables, horseshoe pits and lots of kids toys. There is also a small covered gazebo that would be great for birthday parties, reunions or family picnics.

After we walked around the park I left Simon out to play at the toys. As always, he enjoyed them greatly. He loved going to the slides, running up the stairs and riding the toys. However, Clark Park has something that most of the parks we play at do not have. It has a tunnel that connects the toys. He loved crawling in it and trying to figure out how to get down once he got to the end. He also decided this was the day to try the “big” kid slide. He loved it and was laughing and saying more before he even got to the end.

There were lots of other people enjoying the park to today. There were people walking their dogs, jogging, reading a book on the picnic tables, playing a game of pick up softball and another dozen kids playing on the toys.

Clark Park would be a great park to stop and let the kids run around while you were running errands on Division. I plan on walking there again soon and letting Simon expend some of that toddler energy.
