Date Night at Five Mile Pizza-Spokane

Tonight we had some friends offer to watch our son if we wanted to go out to dinner. Not having very much and trying to save our money for an upcoming weekend getaway we decided to head to Five Mile Pizza for a beer and pizza date night. Five Mile Pizza is located at 6409 N. Maple Street across from the Five Mile Shopping Center. Their phone number is 328-4764
Five Mile Pizza is not only a great place to take your date, it is also very family friendly. When you walk in can place your food order and then take a seat and wait for you number to be called. We decided to order individual calzones. I ordered a Canadian bacon and pineapple and my husband ordered pepperoni and black olives. I thought they were very reasonably priced at $7.10 a piece. I also ordered a one trip salad bar at $3.50. If you want an all you can eat salad it was $7.50. They also have numerous appetizers, pizzas and sandwiches. Everything is very reasonably priced.
You have to order all your drinks at the bar so we headed over there and my husband ordered a pop and I ordered a beer. After getting our drinks we headed for a booth where we could have some adult conversation and watch the All-Star game on one of the 2 big screen televisions.
While we were waiting for our food I did take a quick walk around the restaurant to see what all they had to offer. Besides the main dining room, there is a separate dinning room that can be used as overflow or rented for a banquet. There is also a back room where kids birthday parties are held.
Five Mile Pizza would be a great place to take the family as they have a ball pit, arcade games and air hockey tables. Most of the arcade games provide tickets after playing which you can turn in and get prizes for.
Our food arrived in about 15 minutes so we settled in to eat. The calzones were plate filling and I could not wait to bite into it. You could see the cheese oozing out. My first few bites I only got crust and cheese so I was patiently waiting for my Canadian bacon and pineapple. However, once I made my way into my calzone I hit pay dirt! There was a ton of Canadian bacon (a little too much for my taste, but for the meat lover it would be perfect). I love crust on pizza, but sometimes calzones are all crust and not much stuff. However, their calzone crusts were on the thin side which was just perfect for us.
After we had our fill of beer and pizza it was time to head home and get back into parenthood. However, it was a nice quick date for us that did not break the bank.
