Cascade Glacier Ice Cream Parlor A Family Royal Treat

Ice Cream treatOn a recent Saturday in late July we enjoyed a picnic at Jump Off Joe Lake, and on our return home our daughter had a surprise treat for us. As you drive along Highway 395 headed South from Jump Off Joe Lake see my article for that event.

Take a bit of time to stop in at the Cascade Glacier Ice Cream Parlor. It is not far from Deer Lake Exit about 5 miles I believe heading south and right along the highway. It is a gas station, resturant, and store. Heading Nouth it is about 30 miles from Spokane It is a great place to take the family for a real fun treat with the entire family.

Look at my tiny tot cone

Be prepared to enjoy some sinfully delicious ice cream in huge waffle cones. The smallest cone “Baby Feet” cost $1.49 and it is anything but tiny. The sizes and amount of ice cream go up from there, my daughter bought all her oldest 5 children one of the “baby feet cones” and they had a hard time eating it all. My daughter and her husband shared a “Tiny Tot” double decker.

What do you mean I have to eat all this? Lucious Licking cool

I ordered the “Kiddie size” waffle cone bowl, planning on sharing it with my hubby. We got more than we bargined for. It cost $2.29 and what a huge treat. They had I think three sizes bigger than the one we got. Junior, mama and papa size. I cannot remember all the names of the different sizes of cones but I know if anyone got the largest size they had to be eating close to half gallon of ice cream. Some of the flavors offered were , White Chocolate, Strawberry Cream, Pistachio, Almond Fudge, Tin Roof, Mint, Chocolate, Cherry Vanilla, Vanilla, Coconut Cream and there were a few others I cannot remember. You could make any combination of flavor you wished. Or choose just one flavor.

I got one too and it is all MINE! MMMMMM Good

In addition to the Ice Cream Parlor there is a store, gas station and Pizza Parlor for those still wanting something to eat after or before the ice cream treats. It is a fun place to stop, going or coming and you won’t want to miss it. It can be something fun to do all by itself. Other than the cost of gas and about $18.00 for the ice cream it is an inexpensive family fun treat to go along with a pretty scenic drive.
