Night Out at Anthony’s at Spokane Falls

It has been awhile since a date night has actually entailed getting dressed up, dropping our son off at the babysitters, and going to a restaurant with meals that comes in courses. On this evening though we decided to use our gift certificate and go to Anthony’s at Spokane Falls. It was the perfect week to make a reservation and sit outside along the rive and have a quite dinner. Anthony’s is the perfect restaurant to take in the view of the Spokane River. It sits at 510 N. Lincoln Street and overlooks the Spokane River.
Upon arriving at Anthony’s I took advantage of the complimentary valet parking and met my husband inside. We were seated quickly at a nice corner table outside over looking the river. Upon ordering our drinks we started looking at the menu.

After looking at all my options I decided upon the Sunset Dinner (available Monday-Friday 4:30-6:00). This 4 course meal included a shrimp cocktail, choice of soup or salad, an entree (8 to choose from) and a desert. For my entree I chose the Roasted Garlic Prawns and it was the correct choice to make. My husband ordered the New York Steak and added a Caesar Salad.

My shrimp cocktail arrived first and it hit the spot at the end of a busy day. Quickly following was our salads. My blue cheese salad was delightful and my husband enjoyed his ceasar salad. We had a few minutes in between the salad and entree and enjoyed each other’s company and having some adult conversation that did not revolve around kids.
Our entrees arrived and we were both pleased with our selections. Since I am the only one in the family that enjoys seafood, my only time to enjoy it is when we eat out. I was not disappointed. They prawns were perfectly cooked and my husband enjoyed his steak. We ended dinner by splitting a creme brule. It was perfectly crusty on the top and cold in the middle. Our entire meal cost us about $65, which is a little more than we normally spend on dinner for two, but was well worth it.
Much too soon we had to leave, but greatly enjoyed our evening together. Anthony’s website is www.anthonys.com/restaurants/info/spokane.html and their phone number is (509) 328-9009. Reservations are not required by recommended.
