This is the 3rd or 4th year my husband has played in the Halloween Dodgeball Tournament through the Spokane County Parks & Rec Dept. He has also played in their Turkey Bowl (Thanksgiving Dodgeball) and St. Patrick’s Day Dodgeball tournament. The games are held in different middle school gyms throughout Spokane County. This year we had to head out to the Spokane Valley to East Valley Middle School dressed as nina’s.

Spokane County puts ona few times a year one night of adult dodgeball fun. There are a 6 people on the Court with a min. of 2 females. Most teams consist of 4 guys and 2 gals. However, this year there was on young college team made up of all females.

The dodgeball games can last anywhere from 30 seconds to 8 minutes depending on how well your team fares. I will tell you that watching this does remind me somewhat of the movie Dodgeball! A group of adults throwing rubber balls at each other across a court.

We get a little better every year by fine tuning not only our team, but our own skills. We look forward to playing in the Turkey Bowl the night before Thanksgiving.
