Summer Fun at Shadle Park-Spokane

Thursday morning my MOMS Club playgroup met at Shadle Park, 4302 N. Belt in northwest Spokane, to let the kids burn off some energy by playing on the toys and running through the splash park. Shadle Park consists of 40 acres just west of Maple/Ash on Wellesley Avenue. Shadle Park has something for everyone. You can run through the water, play on the toys, become competitive on the tennis court, watch baseball games, play a game of pick up basketball, or just lay a blanket down and read a good book.

Walking the Ben Burr Trail in Spokane

As if a perfect dichotomy of municipal Spokane, Ben Burr Trail really does show two sides of our city in perfect walking distance.

The Spokane Shock - Arena Football

This weekend I experienced my first arena football game. I am not an avid fan of football, but I do enjoy watching sports live. I also decided that since my boyfriend and his son love football so much that I should learn a little bit about it. Once we decided on the day we wanted to go, I got the tickets for us to go to the Spokane Shock game.

Wonderland Family Fun Center - Laser Tag, Go Karts, Battings Cages and more in Spokane

When my 13 year old nephew came to visit last weekend, I wanted to find something fun that we could take him to do. We ended up going to Wonderland Family Fun Center and we had a lot of fun. Wonderland is defiantly a place for kids- and adults- to go and have a blast.

Dishman Hills Natural Area- Hiking and Picnicking in Spokane Valley

This past weekend I decided to check out the Dishman Hills Natural Area that I’ve wanted to explore for a while. I’ve passed by the Dishman Hills sign on Appleway Ave many times and have always been curious as to what was beyond the sign. I’m really glad that I finally got the chance to explore this wonderful area.

The weather was cold but at least it did not snow. Every year we play in the Spring Fling to fine tune the team for softball season that begins in early May.
