Sunday Brunch at the Davenport Hotel

After we arrived at the Davenport Hotel or our 10:00 reservations we were seated in a beautful ballroom surrounded by tables of fabulous lookng food. As we were escorted to our table, the host pointed out the crepe, omlet and waffle bar, meat station, hot food (fish, chicken, bacon, sausage, potato) table, seafood area and of course the most improtant the dessert and chocolate fountain.

Entertaining Food at the Shogun &; Entertaining Dance at the INB

Some of the girls I work with and I decided we had been working too hard and needed to reward ourselves with an upscale, girl’s night out. I opted for seeing “Burn the Floor” at the INB, and someone else inputted going out to dinner at the Shogun. Together, they ended up being the perfect dinner-show combination for our night on the town.

Warm up with soup and a sandwich at The Sourdough Place

The second is more soup. There’s nothing quite like a bowl of soup to warm up your tummy and give you the energy to get through your day. One place I like to visit is The Sourdough Place at 821 N. Division.

Experience Milford’s and their Amazing Seafood

I’m a sucker for seafood, and I was definitely hungry for it, so I opted that we check out Milford’s, a seafood house restraint located at 719 N. Monroe St. I’ve driven past it on my daily commute several times, but hadn’t thought of it before as a possible place to eat until recently. I checked it out on its online website (www.milfordsspokane.com), and looked through a few online reviews. Everything was positive, and from the pictures online it looked like a beautiful place. But even those pictures didn’t give the place justice compared to what it actually was.

Gather around Chili’s Bottomless Express Lunch

At its best, Chili’s is a consistently good restaurant. It doesn’t matter how many times your order a dish, it’s going to be just as delightful and taste the same as the first time you ordered it. Because of this, Chili’s is kind of my go to restaurant. The place that’s decided upon when we need food, don’t feel like cooking, and don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a restaurant we might not enjoy.

Spin the Birthday Wheel at Fast Eddies Pub

It’s amazing how many people I know with winter birthdays. In December alone I know upwards of six people with holiday birthdays. As far as January is concerned, I’m not even counting anymore. I’ve lost track. Thankfully, there’s a place in Spokane where birthdays are welcome.
Among my group of friends there are certain late night [...]

Interesting Finds and Good Food at Cyrus O’ Leary’s

Cyrus O’ Leary’s beautiful building is located at 516 W. Main Ave. in downtown Spokane. My favorite thing about this restaurant is its decorative set-up. The walls are covered with miscellaneous items from all different time eras.

The Nutcracker Transformed and Bedazzled Before Its Audience at the INB Performing Arts Center

Nutcracker ballet here in Spokane at the INB Performing arts center. The entire ballet was completely redone, everything from the dances and costumes, to the story itself. The INB chose to show the original Russian version of the ballet, and obviously, the theater budget had increased since last time. We all sat at the edges of our seats mesmerized by the beauty on the stage before us. Even the small children in the audience, usually more on the squirmy side, gasped “wow” with each changing set and dance. Even they were breathless.

Night Out on the Town, Steamplant Grill and More

After a busy day at work, I received avoicemail from my boyfriend. He told me to go home and get dressed up because he was going to take me out to a nice dinner. He didn’t give me any details, but told me he would be picking me up at 7:30 pm. So, I quickly [...]
