Cascade Glacier Ice Cream Parlor A Family Royal Treat

After we left Jump of Joe Lake and our picnic we headed home and our daughter had a surprise treat for us. She wanted us to stop at Cascade Glacier ice Cream parlor. So we did and it was fun. As you drive along Highway 395 to some of the area lakes take a bit of time to stop in at the Cascade Glacier Ice Cream Parlor. It is not far from Deer Lake Exit and is a off the road place to stop and have a fun treat with the entire family.

Audubon Park + Little Garden Cafe = A Great Day for Parents and Kids

Surviving another weekend with energetic foster kids was a victory in itself, but having the Audubon neighborhood to rely on for great play space and coffee made our Saturday that much sweeter.

I really enjoy a good latte. However, now that I have a toddler, finding a place to meet friends that is “kid” friendly is difficult. Last week though I finally found my new favorite coffee place. It is the Little Garden Cafe located at 2901 West Northwest Blvd. in the Audubon Park neighborhood on the northside of Spokane.

Rocket Bakery - Spokane’s Finest

On the western edge of downtown Spokane, green awnings covering an outdoor seating area boast the name Rocket Bakery. This charming café looks to be the type that would charge $5.00 for a tall mocha from the outside, but once you enter the glass door of the attractive brick building you realize you are far away from yuppie-dom. The tattooed teenagers employed there ignore you as you walk into the brightly painted café.
